FAC Clipper is an advanced audio plugin designed to elevate mix loudness while imparting harmonic warmth. Drawing upon a similar DSP architecture as the Clip processor found in FAC Punchlab, it offers a refined approach to clipping control, showcased through an intuitive user interface with precise visual metering for effective peak management.

This versatile plugin features both a full-band clipper and a two-band clipping capability, enabling independent processing of low, high, or both frequency ranges. Such flexibility facilitates transparent sound manipulation or encourages creative experimentation based on the user's objectives.

Engineered for efficiency and ease of use, FAC Clipper boasts a quick and lightweight design that prioritizes user experience. The clean interface allows users to concentrate on managing peak levels to maximize loudness while maintaining clarity and mitigating undesirable pumping effects typical of heavily compressed signals.

The plugin includes detailed waveform and level meters for straightforward operation. Users can simply apply the plugin to their track, adjust the input gain to reach 0 dB on the waveform meter, and clearly visualize the dynamic range. Setting the ceiling just below desired peaks facilitates effective control over audio signals. Additionally, the Knee adjustment offers options from smooth to hard clipping, allowing for fine-tuning of saturation to achieve optimal warmth and character.

The Mix parameter further enhances usability by enabling users to blend the clipped signal with the original audio, thus preserving the natural characteristics of the sound while augmenting loudness and harmonic richness.
